FINDERN PARISH - VEHICLE SEIZED |
||
|
Local police have seized a high-end electric car, after its driver made a poor choice on the school run this week.
The incident unfolded near a local school, in the parish of Findern, when police observed a heavyweight Kia EV9 in a bus stop after the driver had just made a journey to the primary educational institution.
Police spotted the car - and checks revealed that the driver had no insurance policy on the vehicle in place.
The car was seized on the spot and loaded onto a recovery vehicle for onward travel to a compound - leaving the male driver having to seek alternative transport home.
Officers are advising parents and guardians that when taking children to and from school by car it is critical that everyone travels appropriately and with valid insurance.
Your Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) will continue to conduct visible patrols outside local schools in the Mercia beat area over the Christmas period and police won’t hesitate in taking action against motorists who drive illegally - all helping to keep our community safe. | ||
